Toto Wolff says Mercedes haven't got the money to keep pace in the development race after Zandvoort, where McLaren's upgrade made them the team to beat. "We haven't got the money to put developments on the car," Wolff said. Mercedes won the first six races of the new regulations, but across the next six Ferrari and McLaren took two wins each. Wolff says the team is splitting its updates through the season based on when the biggest gains can come: "But we just can do what we can do. That's why it is a development race."
